High-Protein, 5-Ingredient Snack (Air Fryer or Oven)
These mini bagel bites are soft inside, lightly crisp outside, and packed with protein thanks to cottage cheese! Perfect after school, pre-sports snack, or cozy weekend treat. Bonus: no yeast, no boiling, and super beginner-friendly.
Ingredients (makes 10–12 bites)
1 cup cottage cheese (240 ml | 220 g)
1 large egg
¾ cup almond flour or oat flour (75 g almond flour | 80 g oat flour)
1 tsp baking powder (5 ml | 4 g)
Pinch of salt (0.5 g)
Optional toppings: Everything Bagel seasoning, sesame seeds, or a sprinkle of shredded cheese
Directions
Step 1 – Preheat
Air Fryer: 320°F (160°C)
Oven: 350°F (175°C) and line a tray with parchment
Step 2 – Make the dough
Mix cottage cheese and egg until smooth. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until a soft dough forms.
Step 3 – Shape
Roll dough into 10–12 small balls. Gently press each into mini bagel shapes or keep them as bites. Add toppings if you like.
Step 4 – Cook
Air Fryer: 8–10 minutes, until lightly golden
Oven: 12–14 minutes, until set and slightly crisp
Step 5 – Cool
Let cool 5 minutes before eating (they firm up a bit as they rest).

Tips for Success
