This Homemade Donuts recipe is mega popular! Ultra soft, light, airy and they are sinfully addictive. I have provided countless tips and tricks to achieve the most amazing doughnuts you'll ever make. It's as light as biting into a cloud

Homemade doughnuts are a bit of a project, but they’re less work than you might think, and the result is a truly great, hot, crisp doughnut. Once you’ve mastered this basic recipe for a fluffy, yeasted doughnut, you can do pretty much anything you like in terms of glazes, toppings and fillings.

This simple homemade donut dough is made with flour, milk, egg yolks, yeast, and sugar, then the donuts are fried and dredged in sugar. This recipe is easy to make and produces a very indulgent little treat! Make it once and you’ll never use a different recipe for donuts. It’s soo good!

Ingredients:

  • 500 g flour
  • 300 ml whole milk
  • 25 g fresh yeast
  • 2 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation:

1. Heat the milk for 40 seconds at maximum power in the microwave.

2. Take it out, add the fresh yeast in pieces and mix with the help of a fork until it is completely diluted.

3. In another large bowl, add the flour, sugar, salt and a tablespoon of butter, which must be very cold.

4. Mix for a couple of minutes.

5. Prepare a hole in the center of the mixture, pour the milk and yeast.

6. Knead with your hands until you get a shiny dough that does not stick to your hands. If the latter happens to us, we would add a little more flour until we achieve the objective.

7. Once we have the dough, we prepare a ball, place it in the bowl and cover it with plastic wrap.

8. Let it rise for one hour.

9. Remove the dough on a floured surface. Stretch with the help of a rolling pin until we get a sheet about a centimeter and a half thick.

10. When it comes to cut the dough in the form of "donuts" we can do it in several ways, in our case we use a pineapple cutter. Although we can also use two lids of different sizes; the lid of a coffee can and another one of a water bottle are perfect to cut the dough in the shape of donuts.

11. Once we have cut the dough in the shape of donuts we place them on a tray with baking paper and covered with a cloth. Let them rise for another hour.

12. We put to heat in a frying pan plenty of sunflower oil.

13. As soon as it is hot, fry the donuts on both sides.

14. Remove on absorbent paper.
