Irresistible Boston Cream Doughnuts 😋🍩

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup vanilla pudding
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache

Directions:

In a bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Add sugar, eggs, melted butter, and salt. Mix well.

Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Roll out the dough to about 1/2-inch thickness and cut into circles using a doughnut cutter.

Place the doughnuts on a baking sheet, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the doughnuts until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.

Drain on paper towels and let cool slightly.

Fill each doughnut with vanilla pudding using a piping bag.

Dip the tops of the doughnuts in chocolate ganache and let set.
