Eggless Scones Recipe
🧾 Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (plain flour)
- 2 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter (cubed)
- 3/4 cup milk (add a little more if needed)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Optional add-ins: raisins, chocolate chips, or dried cranberries
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Preheat oven
Set oven to 200°C (390°F)
Line a baking tray with parchment paper
2. Mix dry ingredients
In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
3. Add butter
Rub cold butter into the flour using your fingers until it looks like breadcrumbs
This step is key for soft, flaky Scone texture
4. Add milk
Pour in milk and vanilla
Mix gently until a soft dough forms (don’t overmix)
5. Shape
Lightly flour your surface
Pat dough to about 1-inch thickness
Cut into triangles or circles
6. Bake
Place on tray and bake for 12–18 minutes
Until lightly golden on top

Serve warm with butter and jam
Or with honey, cream, or chocolate spread
