Ingredients

   * 1 tsp Salt

   * 2 Large eggs

   * 1 cup Whole milk

   * ½ cup Vegetable oil

   * 2 tsp Vanilla extract

   * 1 cup Boiling water (crucial for texture)

 * For the Chocolate Ganache Sauce:

   * 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)

   * ½ cup Heavy cream

   * 1 tbsp Butter (for extra shine)

Preparation Method

 * Prep: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

 * Mix Dry: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

 * Add Wet: Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes.

 * The Secret Step: Stir in the boiling water by hand. The batter will be very thin—this is normal!

 * Bake: Pour evenly into pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let them cool completely.

 * Make Sauce: Heat the heavy cream until it starts to simmer. Pour it over the chocolate chips. Let it sit for 5 minutes, add butter, then whisk until smooth and glossy.

 * Assemble: Layer the cakes with frosting or ganache, then pour the warm chocolate sauce over the top right before serving for that "dripping" effect.

 * Boiling Water Trick: Adding boiling water "blooms" the cocoa powder, making the chocolate flavor much deeper and the texture incredibly moist.

 * Don't Overbake: Chocolate cakes turn bitter and dry quickly. Start checking with a toothpick 5 minutes before the timer ends.

 * Cooling: Never pour warm sauce over a warm cake unless you want it to soak in completely (like a poke cake). For the look in the picture, the cake must be cool.
