Chocolate Banana Sauce Cake
Ingredients
For the Chocolate Cake
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 ½ tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup milk
• ½ cup vegetable oil
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup hot coffee or hot water
For the Chocolate Frosting
• 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
• 2 ½ cups powdered sugar
• ½ cup cocoa powder
• ¼ cup milk or heavy cream
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Banana Chocolate Sauce Topping
• 2–3 ripe bananas (sliced)
• ½ cup chocolate sauce
• ¼ cup caramel sauce (optional)
• ¼ cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Cake Batter
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line two 8-inch cake pans.
In a large bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
2. Add Wet Ingredients
Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Gradually add the hot coffee or hot water and mix until the batter becomes smooth and slightly thin.
3. Bake the Cake
Pour the batter evenly into the cake pans.
Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool completely.
4. Prepare the Chocolate Frosting
Beat the butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla. Beat until smooth and fluffy.
5. Assemble the Cake
Place the first cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of chocolate frosting. Add the second cake layer and frost the top and sides.
6. Add the Topping
Arrange sliced bananas on top. Drizzle with chocolate sauce and caramel sauce. Sprinkle chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
7. Serve
Slice and enjoy this rich chocolate banana cake.
