Marble Loaf Cake
The Goods:
Dry: 2 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder, ¼ tsp salt.
Wet: ¾ cup softened butter, 1 cup sugar, 3 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla, ½ cup milk.
The Swirl: 2 tbsp cocoa powder + 2 tbsp extra milk.
The Process:
Prep: Oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease your loaf pan.
Mix: Whisk dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy; beat in eggs and vanilla.
Combine: Fold dry ingredients into the butter mixture, alternating with milk.
Marble: Split the batter. Stir cocoa and extra milk into one half. Drop alternating spoonfuls into the pan and swirl with a knife.
Bake: 45–50 minutes until clean. Cool before slicing.
