GERMAN CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE

INGREDIENTS 

  • Crust:

  • 1½ cups chocolate graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 6 Tbsp melted butter

  • Filling:

  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz German chocolate (melted & cooled)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • Coconut Pecan Topping:

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 2⅔ cups sweetened coconut
  • 1¼ cups chopped pecans
  • 1½ tsp vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS 

Mix crust; press into springform. Bake 350°F 10 min. Cool.

Beat cream cheese + sugar + cocoa smooth. Add sour cream + vanilla + melted chocolate. Add eggs one at a time. Pour over crust. Water bath bake 300°F 60–75 min. Chill overnight.

Topping: Cook yolks + milk + sugar + butter over medium, stirring constantly 12–15 min until thick. Stir in coconut + pecans + vanilla. Cool. Spread over chilled cheesecake! 😍
