Dark Chocolate Mud Cake

👉Ingredients

 • Dark chocolate – 200 g (chopped)

 • Butter – 150 g

 • Sugar – 1 cup

 • Self-raising flour – 1½ cups

 • Eggs – 2

 • Coffee – ½ cup (prepared and cooled)

 • Cream – ½ cup

 • Cocoa powder – ½ cup

 • Vanilla essence – 2 tsp

💁‍♂️Instructions

 1. Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease and line a round cake tin.

 2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt dark chocolate and butter together until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.

 3. Stir in sugar until well combined.

 4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

 5. Mix in coffee, cream, and vanilla essence.

 6. Sift cocoa powder and self-raising flour together, then gently fold into the wet mixture until just combined.

 7. Pour batter into the prepared tin and level the surface.

 8. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a skewer comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).

 9. Cool completely in the tin before removing.
