Chocolate Dulce de Leche Cake
🧁 For the Cake (2 layers – 20–22 cm)
Ingredients
• 2 cups flour
• ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1½ teaspoons baking powder
• 1½ teaspoons baking soda
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1¾ cups granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs (at room temperature)
• 1 cup milk
• ½ cup vegetable oil
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1 cup hot water or hot coffee ☕
🤎 Dulce de Leche Cream
• 1 cup dulce de leche (store-bought or homemade)
• 200 ml cold cream
• 1–2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional)
🍫 Chocolate Ganache
• 200 g dark chocolate (chopped)
• 200 ml cream
• 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
👩🍳 Preparation
Cake
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C, grease the molds.
2. Mix the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk the sugar, eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
4. Add the dry mixture.
5. Finally, add hot water/coffee → the batter will be runny.
6. Divide into molds, bake for 30–35 minutes.
7. Cool completely.
Dulce de Leche Cream
• Whip the cream until slightly thickened.
• Add the dulce de leche and mix until smooth.
👉 You will get a silky, caramel-like cream.
Ganache
• Heat the cream and pour it over the chocolate.
• Wait 2 minutes, then stir.
• Add the butter and mix until shiny.
🎂 Assembly
1. First cake layer
2. Dulce de leche cream (generously 🤎)
3. Second cake layer
4. Cover the top with ganache, allowing it to drip over the sides
✨ For the top: sprinkle with sea salt, chocolate chips, or extra dulce de leche.
