Chocolate Cherry Mousse Cake
Ingredients :
Cake Base :
- 150g dark chocolate, melted
- 100g butter, softened
- 75g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 50g flour
Cherry Mousse :
- 200g cream cheese
- 100g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200ml heavy cream, whipped
- 100g cherry jam or fresh cherries, chopped
Chocolate Glaze :
- 150g dark chocolate
- 100ml heavy cream
Decoration :
- Fresh cherries
- Chocolate shavings
- Chocolate curls
Preparation :
1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a cake pan with parchment paper.
2. Mix melted chocolate and butter. Add sugar, eggs, and flour. Pour into pan. Bake 20 minutes. Cool.
3. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in whipped cream and cherries.
4. Spread mousse over cooled cake base. Chill for 2 hours.
5. Heat cream until simmering. Pour over chocolate. Stir until smooth. Let cool slightly.
6. Pour glaze over chilled cake. Tilt to spread evenly. Chill 30 minutes.
7. Decorate with cherries, shavings, and curls before serving.
