Banana Caramel Roll Cake
Ingredients :
Cake :
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Filling :
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 ripe bananas, sliced
Glaze :
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Decoration :
- 1 cup whipped cream (extra)
- 1 banana, sliced thin
- Drizzle of caramel sauce
Preparation :
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 10x15 inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
2. Beat eggs and sugar until pale and thick. Fold in flour, vanilla, baking powder, and salt.
3. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool completely.
4. Whip cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
5. Spread cream over cake. Arrange banana slices evenly over cream.
6. Roll cake tightly from the short end. Chill for 1 hour.
7. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top. Pipe extra whipped cream and add banana slices.
