HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS VANILLA LOAF CAKE WITH SPRINKLE FROSTING 🎂🍰
INGREDIENTS
- Vanilla Loaf Cake
- 1½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup (120ml) whole milk
- 2 tbsp sour cream or plain yogurt (for moisture)
- Vanilla Frosting
- ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1–2 tbsp milk (adjust for texture)
- Topping
- Colorful sprinkles
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
Dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar: Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Mix in vanilla and sour cream.
Combine: Add dry ingredients in 2 parts, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
Bake: Pour into loaf pan. Smooth top. Bake 45–50 mins or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
Frosting: Beat butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk. Beat until fluffy and spreadable.
Decorate: Spread frosting over cooled loaf and top with sprinkles. Slice and enjoy!
