Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Roll
Ingredients :
Cake Base :
- 4 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Ice Cream Filling :
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream, softened
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Topping :
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate, melted
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup orange candy pieces
Preparation :
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 10x15 inch baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Beat eggs and sugar until pale and thick.
3. Sift flour and cocoa powder over egg mixture. Fold gently.
4. Add vanilla. Spread batter evenly on prepared pan.
5. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool completely.
6. Place cake on a clean kitchen towel. Peel off parchment.
7. Spread softened vanilla ice cream evenly over cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
8. Starting from the short end, roll cake tightly with the towel. Freeze for 1 hour.
9. Remove towel. Drizzle melted chocolate over top.
10. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and orange candy pieces.
11. Slice and serve immediately.
