Amazing Chocolate Chip Muffins

Ingredients

 • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour

 • ½ cup (100g) sugar

 • ¼ cup (50g) brown sugar

 • 2 tsp baking powder

 • ¼ tsp baking soda

 • ¼ tsp salt

 • ¾ cup (180ml) milk

 • ½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil or melted butter

 • 2 large eggs

 • 1 tsp vanilla extract

 • 1 cup (170g) chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

 • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 12-cup muffin tray with paper liners.

 • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

 • In another bowl, whisk milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

 • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently — do not overmix; a few lumps are fine.

 • Fold in the chocolate chips.

 • Divide batter evenly among muffin cups and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.

 • Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

 • Allow to cool slightly before serving warm or at room temperature.
