Fluffy Chocolate Donuts Recipe
Irresistibly Light and Airy Delights
Ingredients:
For the Donuts:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Chocolate Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 3-4 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
5. Spoon the batter into a piping bag or a plastic zip-top bag with the corner snipped off.
6. Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
8. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
For the Chocolate Glaze:
9. In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
10. Dip the cooled donuts into the chocolate glaze, ensuring they are evenly coated.
11. Place the glazed donuts back on the wire rack to allow the glaze to set.
