Luxurious Lavender Dream Cheesecake
Ingredients:
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup culinary lavender, finely ground
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Whipped cream for topping (optional)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1/2 cup of the sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add two of the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
Pour half of the cream cheese mixture over the graham cracker crust.
In another bowl, combine the remaining 1/2 cup sugar, culinary lavender, and remaining 2 eggs. Mix until well combined.
Stir in the heavy cream and 1/2 tsp salt until the mixture is smooth.
Pour the lavender mixture over the cream cheese layer in the springform pan.
Spoon the remaining cream cheese mixture over the lavender layer, creating a marbled effect if desired.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is almost set but still slightly jiggly.
Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly open for about 1 hour.
Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Serve chilled, topped with whipped cream if desired.
