Chocolate Peanut Cake
Ingredients
- For the Cake Base:
- 4 eggs
- 100 g sugar
- 10 g vanilla sugar
- 50 ml milk
- 50 ml oil
- 80 g cake flour
- 30 g cocoa powder
- 8 g baking powder
- For the Cream Layer:
- 200 g cooked condensed milk (caramel condensed milk / dulce de leche)
- 200 ml cream, whipped until stiff
- 100 g peanuts, roughly chopped
- For the Chocolate Topping:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 40 ml oil
- 20 g white chocolate
- 150 ml milk
- 100 ml strong coffee
- For Garnish:
- 100 g chopped peanuts
- 5 g almond flakes
- Whipped cream (optional, for serving)
Method
🧁 Make the Cake Base:
1. Beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar together until light and fluffy.
2. Add the milk and oil, and mix well.
3. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder, then gently fold into the egg mixture.
4. Pour into a greased cake pan and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
5. Allow to cool completely.
🍯 Prepare the Cream Layer:
1. Mix the caramel condensed milk with the whipped cream.
2. Fold in the chopped peanuts.
3. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled cake base.
🍫 Make the Chocolate Topping:
1. Melt the dark chocolate with oil and milk over low heat, stirring until smooth.
2. Stir in the coffee and mix well.
3. Melt the white chocolate separately for decoration.
4. Pour the chocolate sauce over the cream layer.
5. Drizzle the white chocolate on top and use a toothpick to create a marble effect.
🌰 Garnish:
Sprinkle the chopped peanuts and almond flakes on top.
Serve with a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence.
