Vanilla Layer Cake Delight
Ingrédients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups whipped cream for frosting
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract. In another bowl, sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with milk. Divide batter evenly between pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Once cooled, spread whipped cream between layers and over the top and sides. Serve and enjoy.
