Cherry Vanilla Cake Bliss
Ingrédients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/4 cup strawberry jam
- colorful sprinkles
- maraschino cherries for topping
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla extract. In another bowl, sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with milk. Divide batter evenly between pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Spread strawberry jam between layers, cover with whipped cream, and decorate with sprinkles and a cherry on top. Serve and enjoy.
