Moist Vanilla Cake Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake for 30-minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely
