If you’re a true chocolate lover, this cake is for you! It’s incredibly soft, moist, deeply chocolatey, and melts in your mouth with every bite. Perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or whenever a serious chocolate craving hits. 🤎✨
📌 Ingredients
🧁 For the Cake:
🌾 2 cups all-purpose flour
🍫 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
🍚 2 cups granulated sugar
🥄 2 tsp baking powder
🥄 1 tsp baking soda
🧂 1 tsp salt
🥚 2 large eggs
🥛 1 cup milk
🫗 1/2 cup vegetable oil
✨ 2 tsp vanilla extract
☕ 1 cup hot water or hot coffee
🍫 Optional Chocolate Cream:
• 200 ml heavy cream
• 150 g dark chocolate, chopped
• 1 tbsp butter
👩🍳 How to Make:
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 170°C / 340°F. Grease and flour two 8-inch (20 cm) cake pans.
2️⃣ In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3️⃣ Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
4️⃣ Slowly pour in the hot water or hot coffee and mix well.
👉 Don’t worry if the batter looks thin — this helps create an extra-moist cake!
5️⃣ Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
🔥 Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6️⃣ Let the cakes cool completely before assembling.
🍫 Chocolate Cream:
Heat the heavy cream until hot but not boiling. Pour it over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for a moment. Add the butter and stir until smooth and glossy. Let it cool slightly until thick enough to spread.
🎂 Assemble:
Spread the chocolate cream between the cake layers, then cover the top and sides. Finish with chocolate drizzle, fresh berries, cocoa powder, or your favorite decoration. 🍓✨
💡 Pro Tips:
✅ Use hot coffee instead of water for a deeper chocolate flavor.
✅ Chill the cake for about 2 hours before serving for the best texture.
✅ For an even moister cake, lightly drizzle a little milk over the layers before frosting.
❤️ Rich, fudgy, soft, and perfectly chocolatey — save this recipe for your next special occasion!
