Creamy White Chocolate Tart
Ingredients
Base:
* 200 g Marie biscuits (or simple plain cookies)
* 100 g melted butter
Filling:
* 400 g white chocolate
* 1 small carton of heavy cream (whipping cream)
* 1 can of condensed milk
* 1 tablespoon butter
* 1/2 cup powdered milk
Topping:
* 100 g white chocolate
* 1/2 small carton of heavy cream (whipping cream)
* White chocolate shavings for decorating
Instructions
* Crush the cookies until you get a sandy texture. Mix them with the melted butter.
* Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a springform pan. Bake at 180°C for 10 minutes. Let it cool.
* In a saucepan, combine the condensed milk, powdered milk, and butter. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until it begins to thicken.
* Turn off the heat and add the chopped white chocolate. Stir until it is completely melted.
* Add the heavy cream and mix until you get a smooth, creamy consistency.
* Pour the filling over the cooled crust and refrigerate for 4 hours, or until set.
* For the topping, melt the white chocolate and mix it with the heavy cream. Spread it over the tart and decorate with white chocolate shavings.
* Chill for 1 additional hour before un-molding.
