TRIPLE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CAKE

🥣 INGREDIENTS
1. Chocolate Sponge Base
* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* 1/2 cup cocoa powder
* 1 cup granulated sugar
* 1 tsp baking powder
* 1/2 tsp baking soda
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1 large egg
* 1/2 cup milk
* 1/4 cup vegetable oil
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 1/2 cup hot coffee or hot water
2. Creamy Mousse Layer
* 1 cup heavy whipping cream (chilled)
* 1/2 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips (melted and cooled)
* 2 tbsp powdered sugar
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
3. Chocolate Ganache & Topping
* 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
* 1/3 cup heavy cream (warm)
* 2 tbsp white chocolate (melted, for piping lines)
* Chocolate curls (for garnish)
👩🍳 INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Bake the Cake
* Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
* Whisk dry ingredients (flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt) in a bowl.
* Add egg, milk, oil, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
* Stir in hot coffee/water (batter will be thin).
* Pour into pan and bake for 22–25 mins. Cool completely.
Step 2: Make the Mousse
* Whip heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
* Fold in melted chocolate and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
* Spread evenly over the cooled cake base. Chill for 30 minutes.
Step 3: Ganache & Decorate
* Pour warm heavy cream over chocolate chips; let sit for 2 mins, then stir until glossy.
* Pour ganache over the mousse layer and smooth out.
* Pipe horizontal lines of melted white chocolate across the top.
* Drag a toothpick vertically through the lines to create the chevron pattern.
* Top generously with chocolate curls.
* Chill for at least 2 hours before slicing!
