Cranberry White Chocolate Almond Shortbread Bars
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
Directions:
Prepare the Shortbread Dough:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a crumbly dough forms.
Assemble the Bars:
Press half of the dough into a greased or parchment-lined 8x8-inch baking pan. Sprinkle cranberries, white chocolate chips, and almonds evenly over the base. Top with the remaining dough, pressing lightly to cover the filling.
Bake & Cool:
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until lightly golden. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars. Serve at room temperature.
Serving Tip:
For extra flair, drizzle melted white chocolate over the cooled bars before slicing.
