Ingredients
- For the Pumpkin Batter
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
- ¾ cup pumpkin purée
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For the Chocolate Batter
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- For the Topping
- ¾ cup chocolate chips
- ⅓ cup chopped pecans
- ½ cup chocolate ganache
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch round or loaf pan.
Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin spice.
In another bowl, whisk pumpkin, sugars, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients.
For the chocolate batter, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar. Add milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla and mix until smooth.
Spoon alternating amounts of pumpkin and chocolate batter into the pan.
Run a knife gently through the batter in a swirling motion to create a beautiful marble pattern. Don't overmix.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over the top.
Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a rack and cool completely.
Spread or drizzle with chocolate ganache and add a few extra pecans and chocolate chips.
Slice to reveal the chocolate-and-pumpkin marble pattern.
🔥 Tip
For the most dramatic marble effect, use large alternating spoonfuls of pumpkin and chocolate batter, then make only 3–4 gentle swirls with a knife.
