Scarlet Berry Drizzle Cake

Ingredients

  • For the cake (round sponge base):

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whole milk

  • For the frosting & glaze:

  • 2 cups unsalted butter (softened)
  • 8 cups powdered sugar
  • 4–6 tbsp milk or cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  •  - White buttercream for smooth covering
  •  - Red drip glaze for cascading effect
  •  - White chocolate for coating strawberries
  •  - Fresh raspberries and strawberries

  • Decoration:

  •   White chocolate-covered strawberries with red drizzle
  •   Fresh raspberries scattered on top and base
  •    Swirls of piped white cream
  •    Red drip glaze flowing down sides
  •   White and black round cake board

Instructions

1. Bake the cake

  * Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  * Grease and line a round cake pan.

  * Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

  * Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.

  * Mix flour, baking powder, and salt separately.

  * Alternate adding dry mix and milk into the batter.

  * Bake for 35–40 minutes. Cool completely.

2. Prepare frosting & glaze

  * Beat butter until creamy.

  * Add powdered sugar gradually.

  * Mix in vanilla and milk until smooth.

  * Frost cake with white buttercream.

  * Prepare red drip glaze for sides.

3. Decorate

  * Drizzle red glaze down cake sides.

  * Add swirls of piped cream on top.

  * Place chocolate-covered strawberries with red drizzle.

  * Scatter raspberries around top and base.
