Scarlet Berry Drizzle Cake🎂🍓
Its smooth white frosting base with cascading red glaze, crowned with chocolate-covered strawberries, raspberries, and cream swirls, makes it a striking centerpiece for romantic celebrations, anniversaries, or festive gatherings.
Ingredients
- For the cake (round sponge base):
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups unsalted butter (softened)
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 2 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups whole milk
- For the frosting & glaze:
- 2 cups unsalted butter (softened)
- 8 cups powdered sugar
- 4–6 tbsp milk or cream
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- - White buttercream for smooth covering
- - Red drip glaze for cascading effect
- - White chocolate for coating strawberries
- - Fresh raspberries and strawberries
- Decoration:
- White chocolate-covered strawberries with red drizzle
- Fresh raspberries scattered on top and base
- Swirls of piped white cream
- Red drip glaze flowing down sides
- White and black round cake board
Instructions
1. Bake the cake
* Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
* Grease and line a round cake pan.
* Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
* Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
* Mix flour, baking powder, and salt separately.
* Alternate adding dry mix and milk into the batter.
* Bake for 35–40 minutes. Cool completely.
2. Prepare frosting & glaze
* Beat butter until creamy.
* Add powdered sugar gradually.
* Mix in vanilla and milk until smooth.
* Frost cake with white buttercream.
* Prepare red drip glaze for sides.
3. Decorate
* Drizzle red glaze down cake sides.
* Add swirls of piped cream on top.
* Place chocolate-covered strawberries with red drizzle.
* Scatter raspberries around top and base.
