Exquisite Chocolate Fudge Layered Cake – Indulge in Pure Decadence! 🤎🎂
Ingredients
● For the Brownie Cake:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
● For the Ganache Topping:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate (chopped)
Instructions
1: Prepare the Brownie Cake – Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease & flour a 9x13-inch baking pan. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, then remove from heat and stir in the sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder, then gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
2: Make the Ganache Topping – In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer (avoid boiling). Remove from heat and pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Let it sit for 2–3 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy.
3: Assemble the Cake – Pour the ganache evenly over the cooled brownie cake, using a spatula to spread it out. Let the ganache set at room temperature or refrigerate for a firmer texture.
4: Serve – Slice into squares or rectangles and serve as is, or top with whipped cream, fresh berries, or a sprinkle of powdered sugar for an elegant touch. Enjoy your decadent dessert!
