Chocolate M&M's and Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Cake

Ingredients

• ​Base: 1 package of chocolate chip cookie dough (store-bought or homemade).

• ​Ice Cream Layer: 1.5 quarts vanilla or cookie dough ice cream.

• ​Mix-ins: 1 cup M&M's and 1/2 cup chocolate chips.

• ​Topping: 1 cup chocolate ganache (chocolate chips melted with heavy cream) and whipped cream.

​Instructions

• ​Prepare the Base: Press cookie dough into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or until set. Let it cool completely.

• ​Mix & Freeze: Slightly soften the ice cream and stir in half of your M&M's and chocolate chips. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled cookie base. Freeze for at least 4 hours.

• ​The Chocolate Drip: Heat heavy cream and pour it over chocolate chips; whisk until smooth. Once slightly cooled, pour it over the edges of the frozen cake to create a "drip" effect.

• ​Decorate: Top with swirls of whipped cream, more M&M's, and small pieces of cookie dough.

• ​Final Set: Freeze for an additional hour before serving.
