Triple Layer Chocolate Cake

Ingredients :

Cake Layers :

- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 2 cups granulated sugar

- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 2 tsp baking powder

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1 tsp salt

- 3 large eggs

- 1 cup milk

- 1/2 cup vegetable oil

- 1 cup boiling water

- 1 cup hot coffee (optional, enhances chocolate flavor)

Frosting :

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 3 cups powdered sugar

- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1/4 cup heavy cream

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 2–3 tbsp milk (as needed)

Glaze :

- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

- 1/4 cup heavy cream

- 1 tbsp butter

Preparation :

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.

2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

3. Add eggs, milk, oil, vanilla, and mix until smooth.

4. Stir in boiling water and hot coffee. Batter will be thin.

5. Pour batter evenly into pans. Bake 25–30 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

6. Cool cakes in pans 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

7. Beat butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar, cocoa, vanilla, cream, and milk. Whip until fluffy.

8. Place first cake layer on plate. Spread frosting. Repeat with second layer.

9. Top with third layer. Frost sides and top with remaining frosting.

10. Melt chocolate chips with cream and butter. Cool slightly.

11. Pour glaze over top of cake, letting it drip down sides.

12. Slice and serve.
