Chocolate & Orange Cheesecake

Creamy – Melt-in-your-mouth – Silky

Chocolate & Orange Cheesecake

 Ingredients:

For the base:

    • 200 g digestive biscuits

    • 80 g melted butter

For the cream:

    • 400 g cream cheese (labneh or Philadelphia)

    • 200 ml cream

    • 150 g sugar

    • 3 eggs

    • 150 g dark chocolate (melted)

    • 2 tablespoons cocoa

 • Zest of 1 orange

    • 2 tablespoons orange juice

    • 1 tablespoon starch (corn or wheat)

For the ganache:

    • 120 g dark chocolate

    • 100 ml cream

    • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for shine)

Preparation:

1️⃣ Base

    1. Grind the cookies in a food processor.

    2. Add melted butter and mix.

    3. Press into the bottom of a 20–22 cm springform pan.

 4. Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

2️⃣ Chocolate–Orange Cream

    1. Beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.

    2. Add the eggs one at a time.

 3. Add the cream, cocoa, orange zest, and orange juice.

4. Add the melted chocolate (it should be warm!) to the mixture.

5. Finally, add the cornstarch and mix.

 6. Pour the mixture onto the base.

3️⃣ Baking

• Bake in a preheated 160°C oven for 50–60 minutes.

• The edges should be set, the center slightly jellied.

• Let cool for 1 hour with the oven door ajar.

 • Then chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

4️⃣ Ganache

    1. Heat the cream, pour it over the chocolate.

 2. Wait 1 minute, then stir until melted.

    3. Spread over the cheesecake once it has cooled.

✨ Serving Suggestion

    • Fresh orange zest, grated chocolate, or sliced orange go very well on top.

    • Serve cold.
