Decadent Triple Chocolate Mousse Entremet
Ingredients:
- For the Dark Chocolate Mousse:
- 200 g dark chocolate, chopped
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon gelatin powder
- 2 tablespoons water
- For the Milk Chocolate Mousse:
- 200 g milk chocolate, chopped
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon gelatin powder
- 2 tablespoons water
- For the White Chocolate Mousse:
- 200 g white chocolate, chopped
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon gelatin powder
- 2 tablespoons water
- For Decoration (Optional):
- Chocolate shavings
- Fresh berries
- Edible gold dust
Directions:
1. For each type of chocolate mousse, follow these steps:
- In a heatproof bowl, melt the chopped chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until pale and creamy.
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the water and let it bloom for a few minutes.
- Place the bloomed gelatin mixture in a saucepan over low heat and stir until dissolved.
- Gradually pour the melted chocolate into the egg yolk mixture, whisking continuously.
- Fold in the whipped cream until fully incorporated.
- Pour the mousse mixture into individual serving glasses or a lined mold, spreading it out evenly. Repeat for each type of chocolate mousse.
- Chill the mousses in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until set.
2. Once set, carefully unmold the entremet onto a serving platter, if using a mold.
3. For Decoration (Optional): Top the entremet with chocolate shavings, fresh berries, or a dusting of edible gold dust for an elegant finish.
4. Slice and serve the Triple Chocolate Mousse Entremet chilled, and enjoy the luxurious layers of chocolatey goodness!
