Triple Chocolate Cake ๐Ÿฐ

๐Ÿ“‹ Ingredients  

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour  

- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar  

- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder  

- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda  

- 1 tsp baking powder  

- 1 tsp salt  

- 2 large eggs  

- 1 cup whole milk  

- 1/2 cup vegetable oil  

- 2 tsp vanilla extract  

- 1 cup boiling water  

- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips  

- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped (for ganache)  

- 1 cup heavy cream  

๐Ÿ“ Instructions  

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).  

2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.  

3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.  

4. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.  

5. Mix until smooth, then stir in boiling water. The batter will be thin.  

6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.  

7. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.  

8. For the ganache, heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until it begins to simmer, then pour over the chopped dark chocolate and let sit for a few minutes.  

9. Stir until smooth.  

10. Once the cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving plate, spread chocolate ganache on top, then place the second layer on top and pour ganache over the entire cake.
