🥞 Instant Breakfast Baghrir – No Fermentation Needed
(Perfect from the First Try!)
Ingredients:
- 3 cups fine semolina (“finot” – fine grain)
- 1 cup all-purpose white flour
- 15g baking powder (1 tablespoon)
- 1 tsp sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tsp dry yeast (bread yeast)
- About 4 ½ cups warm water
Instructions:
1. In a blender or using an electric hand mixer, combine all the ingredients with the warm water.
Blend until you get a smooth, lump-free batter — it should be liquid but cohesive.
2. Let the mixture rest for just 5 to 7 minutes — no long fermentation needed!
3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Pour a ladle of batter into the pan (no oil needed).
4. Cook the baghrir on one side only. You’ll know it’s ready when bubbles (holes) form all over the surface and it dries on top.
5. Repeat the process until you finish the batter.
✅ Serve warm with honey & butter, jam, or your favorite spread!
Perfect for quick breakfasts or snack time. Enjoy!
