Craving a dessert that’s rich, creamy, and absolutely indulgent? This Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake features a luscious trio of dark, milk, and chocolate glaze layers atop a moist chocolate cake base. Each bite is pure chocolate decadence—perfect for impressing at any gathering!

Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake

Ingredients

  • For the Base:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk

  • For the Mousse Layers:

  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 200g milk chocolate, chopped
  • 600ml heavy cream, divided
  • 2 tsp unflavored gelatin powder
  • 4 tbsp water

  • For the Chocolate Glaze:

  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 100ml heavy cream

  • For Decoration

  • Chocolate curls or shavings
  • Fresh mint leaves

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch springform pan.

Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and mix.

Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Pour into pan.

Bake 20-25 mins. Cool completely.

Step 2: Dark & Milk Chocolate Mousse

Bloom gelatin in water.

Melt dark chocolate. Warm half of the cream and stir in gelatin until dissolved.

Mix into chocolate and cool. Whip remaining cream and fold into chocolate mix.

Repeat for milk chocolate layer. Spread both over the cooled cake.

Melt dark chocolate and cream over simmering water.

Pour over mousse and let it drip down. Chill 4 hours.

Garnish with chocolate curls and mint. 

Slice and enjoy!
