Decadent Banana Cream Cheesecake
Ingredients:
- For the Crust:
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- For the Cheesecake Filling:
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- ½ cup banana pudding mix
- For Garnish:
- Whipped cream
- Banana slices
- Caramel sauce
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
Prepare the Crust:
In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter until well combined.
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even crust. Bake for about 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool.
Make the Cheesecake Filling:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue to beat until well combined.
Mix in the vanilla extract, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Add the sour cream, heavy whipping cream, mashed bananas, cornstarch, and banana pudding mix. Beat until the mixture is smooth and fully incorporated.
Combine and Bake:
Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle.
Cool and Chill:
Once baked, turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly ajar for about 1 hour to cool gradually.
Afterward, remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Serve:
Before serving, garnish with whipped cream, banana slices, and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Slice and enjoy your Decadent Banana Cream Cheesecake!
