Moist Chocolate Cupcakes recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup all- flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (120ml) hot water or coffee (for enhanced flavor)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin pan with cupcake liners.
In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add buttermilk, oil, egg, and vanilla. Mix until smooth (do not overmix).
Slowly mix in hot water or coffee — batter will be thin, that’s okay.
Divide batter evenly among cupcake liners (about 2/3 full).
Bake for 18–minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
